Millinery is a form of Art and the creativity shown in its conception is magnificent.
Do book tables, there are only 15 available and 2 were sold already as I typed this!
Here are some exciting items already given for the auction, these are the kind that people cannot buy:
- Ken Howard RA donate his time and a private visit to his studio , worth at least £ 2,000.00
- Philip Mould (antique road show expert) will make a private view of his gallery in
Dover Street to see the Old Masters and offer Champagne whilst doing so - worth at least £1,000.00 - David Shilling will donate some, as extravagant as, himself’s jewellery (a brooch made of Saphires and Rubies worth at least £ 5,000.00
- A private tour of the behind the scene of the Royal Academy with Maurice Cockerill RA (Keeper of the School) followed by a dinner for four at the Arts Club, this will reach £ 5,000.00 or more
- Sir Peter Blake CBE has generously donated a picture worth at least £ 20,000.00
- Not confirmed as yet A fantastic prize offered by von Essen Hotels worth at least £ 25,000.00
- 4 persons will be taken from London to the Cliveden Hotel in Taplow- Buckinghamshire in either a chauffeured Rolls Royce or Bentley
- Breakfast at the Cliveden Hotel
- Helicopter ride to one of their Relais et Chateaux for lunch
- After Lunch back to the Cliveden Hotel for Tea by Helicopter
- After Tea, back to London a chauffeured Rolls Royce or Bentley.
- 4 persons will be taken from London to the Cliveden Hotel in Taplow- Buckinghamshire in either a chauffeured Rolls Royce or Bentley
- There may be one surprise item coming up for auction, some hats perhaps?
There will also be an exciting Tombola with many prizes:
- Bottles of various spirits and wines
- Fashion Jewellery
- Luxury Leather goods and other items all worth much more than the price of a ticket (£5.00 or £20.00 a strip)
There will be a brochure and if anyone would like to sponsor its production please let me know.

Dress: Black Tie, whilst ladies are invited to wear hats, gentlemen are not unless truly extravagant! Price will be given to the most extravagant hat.There will be various forms of entertainment during the reception and the dinner.
The price of the dinner and dance is £ 95 per person and include a donation of £ 25.00 to the Trust or £ 850 per tables of ten to include a donation of £ 100.00 to the Trust.For those who would like to support the charity but cannot come for the dinner, come dancing from 9:30 pm and
you are welcome to attend the auction if you are willing to bid, a punch will be served from 9:30 pm and dancing will start from 10 pm. Ticket are priced at £ 35 person or £ 300 per ten.
